Engineers will always work in groups, that is why this course learning outcome is essential. Whenever we had a group assignment, we discussed in the discord chat the responsibilities each of us will have. The point of a team is to work towards everyones greatest abilities, so that is what we tried to do. However, I feel that I did not work towards this course learning outcome until the end of the year. This is because there were not many large group projects until the engineering proposal. All the other projects were mostly solo work. With the engineering proposal, we split the work to accommodate everyones abilities.

Our teammate Edison told us that he was very skilled in autocad drawing, so he decided to be in charge of the koala enclosure design. I was quite passionate about the Australian bushfires, so I conducted a lot of research about the fires such as the areas in which they are most frequent and the time of year they occur. Splitting the work to suit our abilities definitely made the process go by much more efficiently. Efficiency is important when working in a team of engineers with tight deadlines.
